OldSpawn4 is the 4th Spawn of AlphaPlace. It was replaced April 9th, 2022 by NewSpawn.

History

Background

OldSpawn4 was the 4th spawn on the current AlphaPlace map built by Fyl_ and later updated by Gavindg04_. The spawn replaced OldSpawn3 and was released to the public May 7th, 2021 and lasted until April 9th, 2022 when it was replaced with the current spawn or "NewSpawn". This spawn was and still is the biggest spawn to date, featuring many builds and areas to explore. However, the size of this spawn did prove itself to be an issue when unobservant players had major troubles getting out of it, even after many signs were added to point people in the right direction they would still get lost or manage to jump off and die. This led to the creation of the "How do I leave spawn" meme which was relevant even after the next spawn was set but has now became a little stale since NewSpawn is quite easy to leave.
